It was the scariest moment of our young lives. Actually, we thought for a moment that our lives were over. I never, ever experienced anything up on that mountain before. That night, however, we were running for our very existence!
I never thought I would actually see a Bigfoot, then again, I never thought I would see two of them! There were warning signs, though, but when you are young and in love, nothing else really matters, right?
Here is my story…
My wife and I had just gotten married when everything happened. It was actually during our honeymoon that the most incredible—and terrifying—moment of our lives took place. We encountered Bigfoot—or more accurately, multiple Bigfoot.
Looking back on that experience, we nearly lost our passion for the outdoors. An event like that can change your perspective, especially when someone you love might have been in danger.

Hiking the coastal trail to False Klamath was something I loved to do back in the day. This is all past tense, as you can tell. Why, you ask? Because Bigfoot is there, and it is not worth the risk of losing my life.
I have heard of people having good experiences with these things, but not me. My experience was not pleasant at all. It was almost enough to keep me out of the woods for good!

I was young, I had just turned thirteen when I realized what lurked in the woods just beyond my backyard. I was scared at first, but unlike some, my experience turned out differently.
Life in the Pacific Northwest back then came with legends and tales, and wouldn’t you know it, they are real! I would know, I have heard them, experienced them, and seen them too, and I was not alone!

My dad told me years later that that day was the scariest moment in his entire life. It was the day a Bigfoot, or two, tried to lure me away beyond our cornfield, and into the deep, dark woods.
I remember that day myself, as well as the weird experiences that led up to that moment. I believe these creatures, or animals, exist, but were they trying to lure me away? I don’t know that for sure, but I do know they are real, and they are scary, that’s for sure!

Sometimes, you need to get out of Dodge, and quickly. It was early September, and between my family and our recent loss, well, I needed a break before all the big decisions had to be made, but I never thought in a million years that by running away I’d run into a legend!

I was eleven when I realized that monsters in the woods were real. I learned this while visiting my grandmother for Thanksgiving in 1989. The woods of the Pacific Northwest hold something in them—something large and very frightening. At least, they can seem to be.
Coming from the breadbasket in the heart of the country, where the land is as flat as a pancake, the mountains and valleys of the Pacific Northwest, where my grandmother lived, seemed dark and dreary in the late fall. Still, they were beautiful and full of mystery.

It was supposed to be a great time hunting with my wife, but instead, we had an experience of a lifetime – a pretty scary one that we will never forget. Bigfoot, they’re real, and this one did not want us around. Or it was just annoyed with us, at least.
Nothing prepares you for the unknown. When I was in the military, we were always preparing for the unknown, but even then, the unknown is the unknown. So, when you have no reference for something like Bigfoot in your mind, then you are never truly prepared for it.
